Data Centre Operations Manager (Ref: DCOM240417W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to Head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Formulate strategy and roadmap to build, deliver and maintain best-in-class data centre environment for supporting high-performance computing systems.
  • Develop, implement and maintain governance, policy, standards and procedures in connection with data centre management and operations to align with data centre industry standards, regulations, security safeguards and good practices for hosting high-performance computing systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to provide advice on the data centre operations, site selection and technical requirements for hosting high-performance computing systems.
  • Oversee, manage and maintain data centre facilities including power distribution, cooling, UPS, backup generator power, fire and water leak prevention, HVAC, structured cabling and computing racks.
  • Oversee, manage and maintain IT assets and equipment within data centre including processors, accelerators, network, storage and software stack.
  • Lead day-to-day data centre management and operations to achieve agreed computational performance, scalability, availability, security and energy efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage data centre operations budget, track expenses, identify opportunities for cost optimization and review operational costs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the data centre requirements; stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to optimise data centre operations.
  • Manage and maintain contractual agreements associated with data centre operations, evaluate effectiveness and quality of service delivery, manage the relationship with service providers.
  • Monitor, analyse and report operational and security events and alerts; manage and respond data centre incidents and breaches.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with data centre operations to achieve business continuity, security safeguard and operational resilience; develop and maintain emergency response plans such as contingency plans for power outages, natural disasters, cybersecurity breaches and other potential disruptions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of data centre operations, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions whenever necessary.

Requirements:

  • 10+ year proven experience as a Data Centre Operations Manager or similar role in a large scale 24/7 data center environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, engineering, information and communication technology related fields.
  • Strong expertise in data centre management and operations, preferably in a high-performance computing environment.
  • Proven experience in managing data centre facilities, infrastructure and IT equipment to support high-performance computing systems.
  • Experience in managing contractual agreements associated with data centre operations and maintain relationship with service providers.
  • Experience in managing data centre budgets, asset and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with data centre facility management software, security protection and defence tool sets, IT service management platform to maintain data centre operations.
  • Knowledge of data centre  industry standards, regulations, security safeguards and good practices such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ISO27001, incident and problem management, business contingency planning, operational resilience and site disaster management.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard interconnects and network fabrics to support high-performance computing systems.
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing software stack components such as compilers, runtime systems, job schedulers, and scientific libraries.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to analyse and address complex performance, availability, security and scalability challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and subject domain experts.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

The position is on a renewable 2-year fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs).

Senior Manager/Manager - Corporate Communications (Ref#SMCC240417W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic corporate communications and PR plan to enhance Cyberport's brand and reputation.
  • Responsible for key messaging and announcements to external stakeholders, media, and public to achieve strong corporate image awareness via media pitches, press releases, press briefings, and prepare briefing notes, Q&As, speeches, and presentations, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders to promote Cyberport.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms and initiatives, and formulate story angles to maximise positive coverages.
  • Oversee the management of crisis communications and issue management, and handle media enquiries.
  • Oversee the production of annual reports, advertorials, promotional materials/collaterals, and coordinate with business units to collect and verify information.
  • Coordinate with relevant government departments and public entities for publicity plan updates and corporate responses.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, issues, government policies through media monitoring and research; identify issues and opportunities, recommend appropriate actions in a timely manner to minimize potential adverse publicity or proactively build awareness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally from the tech sector / public sector / leading PR firms
  • Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, public affairs, marketing, or related discipline
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, coupled with an innovative mindset
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a high level of self-motivation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with a track record in engaging key stakeholders and advising senior management on public relations and media matters
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong media relations experience and a network of media contacts.
  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms and social media strategy.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for Manager role

Cybersecurity Specialist (Manager/Senior Manager) (Ref#CSM240417W)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to Head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Formulate strategy and roadmap of cybersecurity management to safeguard information assets and protect against cyber and technology risks.
  • Develop, implement and maintain cybersecurity governance, policy, standards and procedures that align with industry standards, frameworks and good practices.
  • Implement and manage effective security controls and measures to secure ICT infrastructure, systems, networks, storage and endpoints.
  • Conduct regular cybersecurity resilience assessment to evaluate the control effectiveness and identify weaknesses to maintain the maturity and capability of the defined security posture.
  • Deploy and manage security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware software and encryption mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into new and existing ICT systems and projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively mitigate risks and enhance security posture.

  • Proficiency in cybersecurity architecture, frameworks and standards, with a strong understanding of security principles, technologies and best practices of cyber safeguard and defence.
  • Experience of formal cybersecurity resilience assessment, associated methodology, processes and good practices.
  • Experience with security techniques and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-malware software, SIEM solution and vulnerability scanners.
  • Good knowledge of cyber threat monitoring, analysis and prevention, and relevant techniques and tools to respond and protect against cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of the cybersecurity impacts for adopting new and existing technologies.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate, influence and negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-start and take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Industry recognized qualifications such as CISM, CISSP, CEH, CCSP and CCSK are desirable.

  • Support implementation of a Government funding programme to expedite the pace of digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing funding support to SMEs in adopting digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and implement publicity campaigns to promote the Company’s mission and achievements through multiple communication channels
  • Handle media enquiries; maintain good relationship with the media to maximise positive coverage for the Company
  • Work with different teams to formulate story angles, develop key messages and talking points for corporate events, industry activities and visits to ensure effective delivery of corporate positioning and messages

  • Good understanding of the Innovation & Technology Industry as well as related government policies
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Detail-minded and independent with strong analytical mind
  • Team player and self-motivated with can-do spirit; able to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work within tight schedules
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience across different communications functions, such as media relations, stakeholder’s engagement, copywriting, production of annual report and corporate literature etc.
